Giovanni Palermo

Bio

Born and raised in Calabria, the tip of the Italian boot, in 1992. I hold a PhD in Physics from Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), with a thesis on network science and machine learning applied to opinion dynamics and computational social science. At Sees:lab, I work on symbolic regression and symbolic distillation, bridging the gap between heavy, opaque deep learning models and cheap, interpretable ones.
