The SEES:lab (Marta Sales-Pardo and Roger Guimera, http://seeslab.info) seeks one or more candidates interested in obtaining a doctoral degree. The SEES:lab pursues excellence in research in the areas of complex networks, systems biology, socio-economic systems and science of science. The current openings are for research projects on complex networks and systems biology, but successful candidates will be able to select the topic of most interest to them.

Candidates will join the doctoral program in Chemical, Environmental and Process Engineering within the Department of Chemical Engineering at Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Tarragona, Spain). Universitat Rovira i Virgili is one of the leading institutions in Spain in terms of research quality and productivity. The doctoral program has been awarded a "Quality Mention" by the Spanish government, indicating a sustained dedication to excellence and the achievement of high quality in research and education. The program hosts around 60 students form more than 20 countries, fostering a multicultural environment.

Candidates should hold a degree (equivalent to EU masters) in chemical engineering, physics, applied math, computational biology or a related field, have good communication skills and, above everything else, true passion for doing research.
